    What we’re looking for

     

    The Business Analyst - Data Analysis reports to the Senior Manager of Operations Reporting and Analytics. This role will be responsible for business analysis in the Operations department. The successful candidate will be a data enthusiast with strong problem solving skills and unstoppable desire for improvement.

     

    The Business Analyst will be tasked with analyzing complex data to derive key insights. The right person will possess the ability to sort, standardize, and analyze data to drive business decisions.

     

    Responsibilities

    A day in the life…

    • Takes responsibility for performance of assigned metrics, builds interactive dashboards to monitor the results, analyzes trends and their drivers, and provides ongoing status reports to senior leadership.
    • Demonstrates expertise in analyzing structured and semi-structured data across business lines and various data sources.
    • Employs data and research insights/analysis to understand customer types & behavioral segments and to improve customer experience.
    • Uses analytical skills to identify gaps and optimization opportunities to drive process improvement.
    • Summarizes results of analyses and recommendations in clear, concise and easily understood manner.
    • Establishes and maintains quality assurance procedures to ensure data quality, reliability and on time delivery.
    • Serves as a knowledge holder in the business analysis, requirements definitions and user acceptance testing in IT implementation projects.
    • Develops an actionable understanding of assigned business functions across the organization; including business line processes, systems, reporting, data sources, business/regulatory rules, and end user/client needs.
    • Closely and effectively communicates with other departments (e.g. Risk, Finance, IT, Project Office) and external partners.

     

     

    Qualifications

    You’ll own this if you have…

    • 1-3 years of business analysis experience
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Business, Business Analytics, Data Science, or other relevant field) 
    • Some experience with SQL or other query tools
    • Experience with BI software such as Tableau or other data visualization software
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to extract meaningful insights from large data
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Strong time management and communication skills
