    What we’re looking for

     

    The HR Assistant provides general support to the human resources department with an emphasis on recruiting and immigration. 

    Responsibilities

    A day in the life…

     

    Recruiting:

    • Sourcing candidates
    • Conducting phone screenings and reference checks
    • Scheduling interviews
    • Preparing reports

    Immigration:

    • Supporting the initiation, coordination and management of immigration cases
    • Monitoring all active cases, following up with immigration partner, and keeping employee and manager updated
    • Ensuring documents are completed, signed, and submitted timely to immigration partner
    • Gathering job descriptions, education information, and other documentation as required
    • Answering questions, resolving any issues and escalating as necessary
    • Arranging meetings as requested

     

    General HR support:

    • Managing personnel files and HR records
    • Entering and updating data in ADP Workforce Now
    • Assisting with onboarding and offborarding employees
    • Assisting with administration of benefit plans
    • Preparing reports

    Other duties as assigned

     

     

    Qualifications

    You’ll own this if you have…

    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • 1 to 2 years of office administration experience
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to get along with a diverse range of people and exhibit a spirit of cooperation
