    What we’re looking for

     

    The End User Support Specialist position reports to the IT Operations Director. This role will be responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware and operating systems on end-user equipment.  The duties include system and application set-up for new users, solving user issues, and managing documentation and asset evidence. 

    The successful candidate will possess strong computer knowledge.  The ability to work effectively with C-level and senior leadership through colleagues across all business units will allow this individual to be most effective. This individual will need to be nimble within an environment of continuous demands and shifting priorities. 

    Responsibilities

    A day in the life…

    • Responsible for technical user support including diagnostic, investigative and resolution of issues in-person and over the phone
    • Ensures the operation and monitoring of all hardware and software on machines for end users
    • Sets up new user accounts and profiles
    • Solves issues pertaining to passwords, email, and hardware functionality
    • Ensures all license and support agreements for all participating subsystems are update and valid
    • Communicates and cooperates with HW and SW vendor support centers when necessary

    Qualifications

     

    You’ll own this if you have…

    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in supporting users
    • Proficiency in administration of end-user equipment (Windows 8, 10)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Experience with laptops, workstations, mobile and accessories
    • Excellent time management and communication skills
    • Proven ability to operate in a team environment
    • Self-motivated in the workplace
    • Experience with working tickets in a service desk environment
    • Some experience with administration of Active Directory and MS Exchange
    • Some Experience with hardware assembly
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Multi-tasking ability

    We would really like you to have...

    • Knowledge of Microsoft products licensing requirements
    • Virtualization techniques such as VMWARE and Hyper-V
    • Experience in centralized administration of end-user equipment
    • General knowledge of Information Technology infrastructure Library (ITIL)
    • Experience in IT asset management, including SW license management
    • Basic knowledge of network technologies
