    What we’re looking for

     

    The Market Intelligence Analyst will report to the Sales Operations Manager as part of the Sales and Business Development Division of Home Credit U.S. (HCUS).

     

    This position will be responsible for conceptualizing, engineering, implementing and analyzing data capture solutions for market trends and behaviors within the U.S. payments, consumer financing and retail sectors. He/She will be tasked with identifying market opportunities for profitability and expansion, and then measuring probabilities for success through propensity modeling, market opportunity mapping, market opportunity scoring and statistical analysis. The candidate is therefore required to be proficient with data languages and platforms including, but not limited to SQL, R, SPSS and similar tools. This individual will also propose and implement monitoring and reporting protocols to ensure optimal performance and to identify when to adjust intensities and focus. It is expected that the right candidate will be easily capable of procuring and sharing data insights in such a way as to allow them to communicate effectively to management. 

     

    The Market Intelligence Analyst will be detail oriented and will possess strong analytical, critical thinking/problem solving, and verbal and written communications skills. The ability to work effectively with colleagues across all business units will allow this individual to be most effective. This individual will need to be nimble within an environment of continuous demands and shifting priorities.

     

    Responsibilities

     A day in the life…

     

    The Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for defining methodology and outputs for the following areas:

     

    Market Opportunity Mapping & Scoring

     

    • Provide intelligence, derived from complex and systematic analyses, to support and advise business strategy. Understand, through multi-attribute modeling and full factorial experimental design, what our merchants/customers want/need next and deliver expertly modeled segmentation programs to meet, or preferably exceed, their expectations. Further, the identification of where markets are over-served or under-served should drive strategic suggestions.  

     Market Vertical Analysis

    • Identify, within stratified market verticals and sectors, where opportunities exist to establish, improve or grow the company footprint as it pertains to the provision of financing solutions and products. Through comprehensive experimental design, identify both toxic and deterministic attributes and interactions which are being misused, under-utilized, over-leveraged or otherwise misappropriated.  Seek, and find, the best ways to maximize vertical profitability and services.

     

    Qualifications

    You’ll own this if you have…

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with strong analytical skills, in Operations Research, Marketing Science, Economics, Quantitative Psychology, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative fields
    • 2-3 min years of relevant marketing experience in statistical modeling or quantitative methods
    • Hands on experience and proficiency in sophisticated business intelligence tools, statistical and data mining models/tools (e.g. Siebel, SARS, Oracle Business Intelligence Suite, SAS, SPSS, SQL, Tableau, R and/or Python or similar tools) is required
    • Excellent communication, project management and time management skills.
    • Positive energetic attitude and enthusiasm for marketing science
    • Proven ability to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organizational structure
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and at least one programming language

    We would really like you to have...

     

    • Some experience in sales and/or consumer market analytics
    • Deep understanding of multi-attribute utility theory
    • Some international business exposure/experience
    • Experience with process management tools
    • Excellent SQL knowledge
    • Excellent R knowledge
    • Programming experience
    • Experience with creating Tableau dashboards
