    What we’re looking for


    The Risk Analyst - Credit reports to the Credit Risk Manager and is responsible for developing and maintaining decision strategies for consumer credit card portfolio.  The main role of this Risk Analyst is to design, measure, analyze, and optimize underwriting/account management strategies and processes using a data driven, analytical approach. On a regular basis it will be required to do ad-hoc analysis where the Risk Analyst  will use data mining tools (SQL) and analytical tools to explain trends and outliers. The candidate should therefore be very familiar with SQL, Tableau or similar analytical tools. The analyst will also be required to point out negative trends and continuously deliver new insights into performance metrics specific to acquisition strategies. This individual will also propose and implement monitoring and reporting protocols to ensure accuracy of performance indicators and have proper back-testing mechanisms in place. 


    A day in the life…

    • Defines underwriting/account management strategies for consumer credit card portfolio
    • Analyze performance of strategies/processes and propose improvements and corrective actions
    • Prepare reports and presentations on performance for management using SQL code written procedures in Oracle DWH system and Tableau repository
    • Supports and communicates with other departments, works on cross-departmental projects, and participate in knowledge sharing
    • Analyzes Credit Risk Management Key Performance Indicators and prepare Ad-hoc analysis on changes in trends
    • Adjust and test changes of strategies and decision processes
    • Propose changes and process modification implementation
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    You’ll own this if you have…

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and at least one programming language
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organization
    • Excellent time management and written communication skills

     We would really like you to have...

    • Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or related field
    • 1-2 years experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Some experience in consumer risk management, banking or financial industry
    • Relevant experience with financial and statistical analysis
    • Knowledge of SQL
    • Knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming language
    • Extensive experience with Tableau
    • Some experience with ticketing/testing tools (JIRA, SoapUI or similar)
