    What we’re looking for

     

    We are seeking an individual who is open to new challenges and able to assist with the set-up of a new environment in a fast growing financial services company specializing in credit cards.  The role is responsible for a variety of financial reporting functions that involve the application of a full range of general accounting principles and techniques.  The position will report to the Controller. 

     

    Responsibilities

    A day in the life…

     

    • Utilize analytical skills to correctly code accounts payable data and create accurate and timely payments within a multi-level company
    • Ensure timely process of company credit cards and employee expenses
    • Prepare various reconciliations, schedules and reports for internal use and for audit support
    • Complete applicable monthly and quarterly reporting requirements by compiling, reviewing and analyzing requested financial information
    • Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
    • Assist with applicable ad hoc projects and requests

    Qualifications

    You’ll own this if you have…

    • 4+ years of accounts payable experience within financial services and/or banking industry preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting is a plus
    • Bank and bank product knowledge experience (Credit Card / Loan products accounting is a plus)
    • Innovative problem solving ability
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external customers
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
